Day 1 – Arrival at Gangtok

  • Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station.
  • Drive to Gangtok (120 km / 4-5 hrs).
  • Evening free to explore MG Marg (local market & cafés).
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2 – Gangtok Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day of local sightseeing in Gangtok. Begin with a visit to Tashi View Point, offering stunning panoramas of the Kanchenjunga ranges. Continue to the hilltop shrines of Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok, both known for their peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views of the city and valleys below. Next, visit the serene Enchey Monastery, a 200-year-old Buddhist monastery with deep spiritual significance. Explore the sacred Do Drul Chorten Stupa, surrounded by prayer wheels, followed by a stop at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, which houses a rare collection of Buddhist scriptures, thangkas, and artifacts. Day 3 – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

After breakfast, embark on a scenic day excursion from Gangtok. Drive through winding mountain roads to the sacred Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake that remains frozen during winter and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Here, you can enjoy the breathtaking views, take a peaceful walk along the lakeside, or opt for a memorable yak ride along the shores. Continue to the revered Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, dedicated to the memory of the Indian Army soldier known as the “Hero of Nathula,” which holds deep spiritual and patriotic significance. For those with the required permits, an optional visit to Nathula Pass, located on the Indo-China border, offers a rare and thrilling high-altitude experience. Day 4 – Gangtok → Lachen (120 km / 6 hrs)

After breakfast, begin a scenic drive to Lachen, a quaint mountain village nestled in North Sikkim. The journey takes you through winding roads, lush valleys, and cascading streams, offering countless photo opportunities. En route, stop at the breathtaking Seven Sisters Waterfall, where multiple streams plunge down a rocky cliff, and the picturesque Naga Waterfall, set amidst dense forests. Continue your drive through charming mountain landscapes until you arrive in Lachen by evening. Day 5 – Lachen → Gurudongmar Lake → Lachung

Early in the morning, embark on an unforgettable excursion to the spectacular Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft), one of the highest lakes in the world and a sacred site for both Buddhists and Hindus. Surrounded by snow-clad mountains, the lake’s crystal-clear waters and serene atmosphere create a truly awe-inspiring experience. After spending some time amidst this high-altitude wonder, return to Lachen for breakfast. Day 6 – Yumthang Valley Excursion → Gangtok

Begin the day with a picturesque drive to the breathtaking Yumthang Valley, famously known as the Valley of Flowers. Later, return to Gangtok for a relaxing evening and an overnight stay.
